Bubble Guppies 2nd Birthday Party

My little one was pretty obsessed with Bubble Guppies leading up to her 2nd birthday party, but I wanted to figure out a way to make it girly and fun, and what turned out to be a touch of mommy's preference for vintage things (see the tea roses and mason jars).  It was a done deal when I found a Bubble Guppies pillow case dress on Etsy that had a chevron pattern!  I based the whole color scheme around the pink and teal of the dress, adding a pop of orange as a tribute to the fish himself, Mr. Grouper. :)

Made a paper banner out of various prints of scrapbooking paper bought at Michaels.  Also walked by the big wood "S" which was plain white when I bought it.  I printed off a chevron patter online, traced it onto the letter and handpainted the S with some acrylic paint.  The favors were Bubble Guppies cups bought at Walmart, filled of course with bubbles, goldfish, bubble guppies stickers, and topped with a pinwheel (Martha Stuart pattern bought at Michaels).

How perfect is the dress?
Found an awesome listing on Etsy for food cards that I sent the seller the list of food and they were printed for me, totally worth the few dollars it cost.  Also ordered favor tags from the same seller, they just happened to be in teal and pink! Meant to be.  Did "cheese and tractors", BBQ "sandwiches" goldfish "guppy snacks", "Nonny's Noodle Salad" broccoli slaw, and of course Mr. Groupers macaroni and cheese!

Peytie Cakes of Goose Creek SC did the cupcakes and cake, found the idea of the cupcakes on Pintrest, the kids loved them.  The invite was a print-yourself file from Etsy.

Had to do tea roses, and a special beverage for mommy seemed like a must when it was SOFIA champagne!

Decided to do an activity, there is an episode "Mr. Grumpfish" where the guppies make pizzas, so I had a "Make Your Own Pizza" activity, made out of felt ingredients, begged a local restaurant for small pizza boxes, and they all got to take theirs home.  It was a bigger hit than I thought it would be!
